With the 9-Euro-Ticket, all citizens can use public transport throughout Germany for nine euros per month in June, July and August 2022. The 9-Euro-Ticket is valid on buses, underground trains, suburban trains, trams and regional trains, but not on long-distance trains.

The regulations for students with a semester ticket for the 9-Euro-Ticket at the individual university locations can be found in red.

Augsburg

All students properly enrolled at the University of Augsburg or Augsburg University of Applied Sciences will receive the semester ticket. This costs € 65.50 for one semester.

The semester ticket fee is collected together with the Student Services fee upon enrolment or re-registration at the universities in Augsburg.

The option of an exemption from the fee obligation only exists for severely disabled students who are entitled to free transport and are in possession of a supplementary sheet to their disabled persons pass and the corresponding token.

The legal basis for charging a fee for the semester ticket is the Augsburg Student Services statute regarding an additional fee for transport for students of the University of Augsburg and the University of Applied Sciences  – on local public transport (semester ticket).

The student ID, the validated CAMPUS CARD AUGSBURG, is proof of the semester ticket. If the CAMPUS CARD AUGSBURG does not contain a photo, it is only valid as a student ID and as evidence of the semester ticket together with an official photo ID.

You can find more information about the scope of the semester ticket on the Augsburg Transport and Tariff Association website (AVV).

During the promotional period from June to August 2022, the CAMPUS CARD AUGSBURG is valid as a Germany-wide all-day ticket on all means of local transport (buses, trams and regional trains). Long-distance transport (ICE, IC, EC, long-distance buses, Flixtrain, etc.) is excluded. It is not necessary to purchase a separate 9-Euro Ticket.

In addition, the semester fee for the Semesterticket will be reduced for all students of the University of Augsburg and the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences by the difference to the 9-Euro-Ticket for 3 months in the winter semester 2022/2023, i.e. the Semesterticket will only cost 59,75 Euro instead of 65,50 Euro in the winter semester 2022/23. The semester fee for the winter semester 2022/23 is therefore only 121,75 Euro.
